Root Canal

Root canal treatment is necessary when the pulp (soft tissue inside your teeth containing blood vessels and nerves) becomes inflamed or diseased. During root canal treatment, your dentist removes the diseased pulp.

The pulp chamber and canals of the tooth are then cleaned and sealed. If the infected pulp is not removed, pain and swelling can result, and your tooth may have to be removed.

Causes of an infected pulp could include:

  • A deep cavity or restoration
  • A cracked or broken tooth
  • Trauma to the tooth

Tooth Extraction

A tooth extraction is the last thing anybody wants for their teeth. Nobody wants to have a hole in their mouth. However, there are certain instances in which a tooth extraction is called for.

At St. Paul’s Dental, we understand how important it is to save your natural teeth. Rest assured that we only recommend tooth extractions when it is best for you.

Common Reasons For Tooth Extractions:

  • Severe tooth decay
  • Impacted abscess
  • Impacted wisdom tooth

Bad breath is one of the most embarrassing dental problems. However, most sufferers are not even aware that they have it! Our nose is desensitised to our own breath; hence we cannot tell if our breath is already embarrassing us.

What you need is an honest person to tell the truth. Unfortunately, people would rather avoid talking to you than risk hurting your feelings by telling you the truth about your breath.

  • Dry mouth
